About
Victor Rothaar is a native of Utah. He was born and raised in Bountiful. He is the proud father of 3 daughters.
Victor has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication / Broadcast Journalism from the University of Utah. Victor has in-depth experience in real estate analysis; he stays current with the economic factors which influence our local real estate market. He also designs, remodels, builds, and decorates homes for himself and for clients and investors.
Victor has several credentials after his name. What do those letters mean? And why are they important? Each one of those are a certification or designation, typically awarded to qualified Realtors through the National Association of Realtors and/or other affiliated organizations.
e-PRO means you are certified as an Electronic Professional. As we've moved into the digital age, most people are on-line, engage in various social media platforms, and make on-line purchases. An e-PRO Realtor uses technology to communicate and connect with consumers. Victor was awarded his e-PRO certification in 2004.
SFR means you are certified as a Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource. After the market crash of '08, the market was flooded with short sales and foreclosures. This certification helps Realtors deal with the short sale process and negotiate with the banks. (While this certification is not necessary to have in the purchase of HUD homes, a Broker must be registered through HUD in order to place bids on their properties. Victor is also a registered HUD Broker.) Victor was awarded his SFR certification in 2010.
CRS means you are a Certified Residential Specialist. Only the top 3% of agents in the US have this designation. It requires extensive education training, years of experience, and a track record of successful sales transactions. Victor was awarded his highly prestigious CRS designation in 2016.
MRP means you are certified as a Military Relocation Professional. With over 1.3 million active duty service members, 1.5 million retirees, and well over 20 million vets, the military market is huge. And especially here in the state of Utah, with Hill Air Force Base, Camp Williams, Tooele Army Depot, Dugway Proving Ground, Deseret Chemical Depot, and more. MRP training helps identify service members, assists them in the relocation process, and helps with obtaining VA financing. Victor was awarded his MRP certification in 2018.
As a Principal Broker, Victor's in-depth training includes special real estate courses such as Real Estate Practices, Ethics, Economics, Financing, Property Management, Legal Aspects, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments & Exchanges, Taxation, Creative Financing, New Construction & Building, Short Sales, Foreclosures, and Traditional & Web-based Marketing Strategies. He is also involved in live and on-line continuing education programs to stay on top of Utah's ever-changing real estate industry.
